Supply Chain & Compliance
Quality at every link of the supply chain
For Lactalis Ukraine, product quality does not end when the product leaves the factory. It must remain consistent throughout the entire journey to the consumer — during loading, transportation, storage, and delivery.
That is why we apply uniform quality and safety requirements across all stages of the logistics chain. These are based on international approaches and standards, including ISO, HACCP, IFS Logistics, BRC, and AIB International.
An uncompromising cold chain
For dairy products, temperature is a key factor in maintaining quality. We monitor temperature conditions during storage, loading, transportation, and unloading. For chilled products, transport vehicles are set to maintain a temperature range of +2°C to +6°C, and the carrier is responsible for ensuring this temperature is continuously maintained throughout the entire route.
Control from warehouse to road
Before shipment, the vehicle is inspected for condition, cleanliness, and compliance with safety requirements. Products arriving at the warehouse also undergo a formalized inspection process, covering everything from cargo integrity to temperature readings.
Particular attention is paid to preventing physical, chemical, and allergenic contamination, as well as to the sanitary condition of warehouses, equipment, and transport vehicles.
Traceability along the entire route
We aim to track the cargo throughout the entire transportation process. This is achieved through technological solutions—such as geolocation and temperature reports—while ensuring that information regarding product movement remains accessible and up-to-date.
Quality is being checked.
Our requirements apply not only to Lactalis Ukraine’s own warehouses but also to partner warehouses used to store our products.
An audit and self-assessment system enables regular verification of compliance with standards. It comprises 34 mandatory, non-negotiable criteria. If an inspection does not yield 100% compliance, a formal corrective action plan is established.
And it all starts with people
Standards are effective only when people understand and implement them. Therefore, employees, temporary staff, and contractors undergo training on food safety, HACCP, crisis and incident management, safety, the handling of hazardous materials, and the control of non-conforming products.
Our principle is simple: quality must be safeguarded at every kilometer of the product's journey—from our production facility to the consumer.
